The Foundation Story for Upcoming Season 3, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion I The Movie (Review)

The anime legend has come back again, now with a film trilogy that will certainly make you nostalgic for the excitement and epicness of the Code Geass anime in its new form. With the arrival of the new season of the anime, Code Geass: Lelouch the Ressurection, of course that make us hype, but also wondering how can the story that should have ended can be continued again, if you have seen the anime series, surely you will be confused, how the storywriter continue the story again with the story that should have already end. That's why we are presented with a new movie trilogy that will "retell" the Lelouch story on Code Geass. This movie trilogy will retelling the story from the animated series with some changes to create new scenarios that will guide us to the new season. Part I of this film tells of the initiation of Lelouch in forming the foundation of his resistance to the kingdom of Britannia.

Story
As in the anime series, the movie tells of the foundation, the beginning of Lelouch's struggle to destroy the Kingdom of Britannia, with some improvements in the story to build a new scenario that will lead to season 3 that will air later. In this movie, the initial story of Lelouch's very hatred of Britannia is explained plainly and clearly, showing us the father of lelouch who does not care about his family, until he and his sister and mother are thrown to Japan by his father to be made a political tool to make Britannia closer with Japan. He and his family then assisted by Japanese Prime Minister and his son who later became his friend, Suzaku. Lelouch's hatred became more and more intense when Japan were colonized by Britannia and cause her mother to be killed and make her sister, Nunally traumatized and paralyzed. Lelouch then swears to Suzaku to destroy his father's kingdom.

Until Lelouch finally found the momentum during his fateful encounter with the immortal C.C who then gave him Geass, an absolute power of obedience that made others obedient to any command from him. The story then continues with Lelouch who then tries to adapt with his new power, figuring out the shape and limits of his geass by testing it into his opponent and his schoolmate. He also uses his power to help him achieve his dreams, destroy the kingdom of Britannia and create a better world to make Nunally happy. Although many parts of the anime series are skipped, the story in this movie still shows important parts and stays attached to the storyline.

Defenseless

Later, the story is built slowly to tell us about Lelouch's first strategy in destroying the Kingdom of Britannia, by liberating Japan and making it the first foundation to fight against Britannia. He then disguised himself as Zero and formed a Black Knights resistance group consisting of Japanese people who wanted independence from Britannia. In his journey to liberate Japan from Britannia, we are shown by his efforts and tactics to form strong resistance, such as recruiting new members, obtaining new weapons and knightmares, and train his members to the real battlefield. He also negotiates with the Japanese liberation forces and the Knightmare designers team to help him build strength to balance the strength of Britannia in Japan. But in his quest for resistance, he faces a dilemma of having to fight his friend, Suzaku who became Britannian army and keeps obstruct him, without knowing that his opponent is Lelouch in disguise.

Character
The portrayal of the characters in the movie is well explained and has its own charm, especially the depiction of the main character. Lelouch has an arrogant and prideful character, but is gentle and friendly with his sister and his friends, and trusts them. Like when he was arrogant to strangers or his opponents, using a cunning way to get his objective, but when with his sister and friends he became gentle like a good brother and a good friend. He also had to experience a dilemma because the friend he trusted, Suzaku turned out to be his opponent, until he had to order his troops to retreat to avoid them killing Suzaku.

his intelligence in playing chess makes him good at thinking which then he uses for war tactics and building resistance army. His eccentric style, mixed with his prideful characters make him unique and different from other characters. The other characters also have their own character and style, they have their own story background that is able to elevate and influence the development of the story. such as Suzaku's heroic spirit and optimism towards Britannia, made him attempt to change Britannia from within and believe Britannia would later become a better kingdom. It is his nature that makes him reject Zero's (Lelouch) invitation to become a member of the Black Knights and eventually become his opponent.

Art
In terms of graphics and animation, this film can be said used the same with the animated series version, but with improved quality and new look to become more clearly, the characters that drawn also upgraded from the anime series, although not too visible, Such as becomes smoother, making it different from the anime series. But in terms of animation, no change has been made to differ from the anime series. The animation of war and fight between Knightmares is still seen using the same animation technique.

Music
The background music and soundtrack features still use the same, by opening movies using song from Flow, Colors. While background sound is still with music from Kotaro Nakagawa and Hitomi Kuroishi. Makes you still feel the nostalgic with the trumpet sounds and the unique voice of Hitomi from the anime series.

Conclusion
With Part I of this movie, we are shown clearly and gradually about Lelouch's steps in building his strengths to fight Britannia in the form of new graphics and stories with some changes. So anyone who watches it will still feel it's new and different, moreover this movie will be the foundation for the new season later, opening the mystery that still exist in the anime series and make us ready to watch the new season of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Ressurection later.

Legenda anime telah kembali lagi, kini dalam balutan trilogi film yang tentunya akan membuatmu bernostalgia akan keseruan dan epicnya anime Code Geass dalam bentuk yang baru. Dengan kedatangan season baru dari animenya, Code Geass: Lelouch the Ressurection, tentunya membuat kita hype, tapi juga bertanya-tanya bagaimana bisa cerita yang seharusnya sudah berakhir bisa ada lagi, kalo kamu sudah melihat seri animenya, pasti kamu akan bingung dengan akhir cerita seperti itu bisa membuat sang pembuat cerita meneruskan ceritanya lagi. Karena itulah kita disuguhkan dengan trilogi film baru yang akan "menceritakan kembali" kisah Lelouch di Code Geass ini. Trilogi film ini akan menceritakan kembali dari seri animenya dengan beberapa perubahan untuk membuka skenario baru yang akan menuntun kita kepada season baru nantinya. Part I dari film ini menceritakan mengenai inisiasi Lelouch dalam membentuk pondasi perlawanannya terhadap kerajaan Britannia.

Story

Seperti pada serial Animenya, Film ini menceritakan mengenai pondasi, awal mula Lelouch memulai perjuangannya untuk menghancurkan kerajaan Britannia, dengan beberapa pembenahan di dalam cerita untuk membangun skenario baru yang akan mengarah pada season 3 yang akan tayang nanti. Di film ini, kisah awal mula dari penyebab Lelouch yang sangat membenci Britannia dijelaskan dengan gamblang dan jelas, memperlihatkan kepada kita mengenai ayah lelouch yang tidak peduli dengan keluarganya, hingga dia bersama adik dan ibunya dibuang ke Jepang oleh ayahnya untuk dijadikan alat politik sebagai langkah mendekatkan Britannia dengan Jepang. Dia dan keluarganya kemudian dibantu PM Jepang dan anaknya yang kemudian menjadi temannya, Suzaku. Kebencian lelouch semakin menjadi ketika Jepang dijajah oleh Britannia yang membuat ibunya terbunuh dan adiknya, Nunally trauma dan lumpuh. Lelouch kemudian bersumpah kepada Suzaku untuk menghancurkan kerajaan ayahnya.

Sampai pada akhirnya Lelouch menemukan momentum saat pertemuannya dengan C.C yang abadi yang kemudian memberinya Geass, kekuatan absolute obedience yang membuat orang lain patuh terhadap perintah apapun darinya. Cerita kemudian berlanjut dengan Lelouch yang kemudian mencoba beradaptasi dengan kekuatannya, mencari tahu bentuk dan batasan kekuatannya dengan mengujinya ke lawan dan teman sekolahnya. Dia juga menggunakan kekuatannya untuk membantunya dalam meraih cita-citanya, yaitu mengancurkan kerajaan Britannia dan menciptakan dunia yang lebih baik untuk membuat Nunally bisa hidup bahagia. Meskipun banyak bagian dari seri anime yang di skip, cerita di film ini tetap memperlihatkan bagian-bagian yang penting dan tetap menempel pada alur cerita.

Defenseless

Kemudian, cerita dibangun secara perlahan untuk memberi tahu kita mengenai strategi pertama Lelouch dalam menghancurkan kerajaan Britannia, yaitu dengan membebaskan Jepang dan menjadikannya sebagai pondasi untuk melawan Britannia. Dia kemudian menyamar sebagai Zero dan membentuk kelompok perlawanan Black Knights yang terdiri dari orang-orang Jepang yang ingin merdeka dari Britannia. Dalam perjalanannya untuk membebaskan Jepang dari Britannia, kita diperlihatkan mengenai usaha dan taktiknya untuk membentuk perlawanan yang kuat, seperti merekrut anggota-anggota baru, mendapatkan persenjataan baru, hingga melatih para anggota-anggotanya ke medan perang sungguhan. Dia juga melakukan negosiasi dengan pasukan pembebasan Jepang dan tim perancang Knightmare dalam membantunya membangun kekuatan untuk menyeimbangi kekuatan Britannia di Jepang. Tapi di dalam usahanya untuk membangun perlawanan, dia menghadapi dilema karena harus melawan temannya, Suzaku yang menjadi pasukan Britannia dan terus menghalanginya, tanpa mengetahui kalau yang dihalangi adalah Lelouch yang sedang menyamar.

Character
Penggambaran karakter di Film ini dijelaskan dengan bagus dan memiliki pesonanya sendiri, terutama penggambaran tokoh utamanya. Lelouch yang mempunyai karakter arogan dan sombong, tapi lembut dan ramah dengan adiknya dan teman-temannya, serta mempercayai mereka. Seperti pada saat dia bersikap arogan kepada orang asing atau lawan-lawannya, menggunakan cara licik untuk mendapatkan keinginannya, tapi saat bersama adik dan teman-temannya menjadi bersikap lembut layaknya seorang kakak dan teman yang baik. Dia juga harus mengalami dilema karena teman yang dia percayai, Suzaku ternyata adalah lawannya, sampai dia sempat mengundurkan pasukan kelompoknya untuk menghindari mereka membunuh Suzaku.

kecerdasannya dalam bermain catur membuatnya piawai dalam berpikir yang kemudian dia gunakan untuk taktik berperang sekaligus membangun perlawanan. Gayanya yang eksentrik, dan dicampur dengan karakter arogannya menjadikannya unik dan berbeda dengan karakter-karakter lain. Tokoh-tokoh yang lain juga memiliki karakter dan gaya tersendiri, mereka mempunyai latar cerita sendiri yang mampu mengangkat dan memberi pengaruh terhadap perkembangan cerita film. seperti contohnya Suzaku yang berjiwa pahlawan dan mempunyai optimisme terhadap Britannia, membuatnya berupaya mengubah Britannia dari dalam dan percaya Britannia akan menjadi lebih baik. Sifatnya inilah yang membuatnya menolak ajakan Zero (Lelouch) untuk menjadi anggota Black Knights dan akhirnya menjadi lawan Lelouch.

Art
Dari segi grafis dan animasinya, film ini dapat dikatakan masih memiliki kesamaan dengan versi seri animenya, namun dengan peningkatan kualitas yang lebih bagus dan baru sehingga terlihat semakin lebih berwarna, tokoh-tokoh yang digambar juga ada perbedaan dari seri animenya, meskipun tak terlalu kelihatan, seperti bentuk tokoh-tokohnya terupgrade menjadi lebih halus, membuatnya menjadi beda dari seri animenya. Namun dari segi animasi tidak ada perubahan dengan seri animenya. Animasi peperangan dan pertarungan antara Knightmare masih terlihat menggunakan teknik animasi yang sama.

Music
Fitur background music dan soundtrack masih menggunakan yang sama, dengan opening movie memakai lagu dari Flow, Colors. Sedangkan background sound masih dengan musik dari Kotaro Nakagawa dan Hitomi Kuroishi. Membuatmu masih bernostalgia dengan suara-suara terompet dan suara khas dari Hitomi dari seri animenya.

Conclusion
Dengan Part I dari film ini, kita diperlihatkan mengenai langkah-langkah Lelouch dalam membangun kekuatannya untuk melawan Britannia dengan jelas dan dalam bentuk grafis dan cerita baru dengan beberapa perubahan. Sehingga siapapun yang menontonnya pasti akan tetap merasakan nuansa yang baru dan berbeda, terlebih lagi film ini akan menjadi pondasi untuk season baru nantinya sehingga membuka misteri yang masih ada pada seri animenya dan membuat kita siap untuk menonton season baru dari Code Geass: Lelouch of the Ressurection.

5 Anime to Look Forward in Summer 2018

Finally season spring Anime will reach the end, time goes quickly and suddenly the anime that i enjoy watching already reach the last. But don't be sad because we will meet new anime in summer season. Many anime is offered in the summer, and from the anime that will appear I have several watch list anime that you can see later. The anime I choose is based on my personal tastes of the anime, so the choice may be different for you guys.

Lord Vermillion

This is the anime that adapted from Square Enix game. If we look from the premise, it may already many anime who use this story, but because it's from Square Enix, maybe it will be worth to watch. So the Lord of Vermillion will tell you about an incident in Tokyo in 2030. A high-pressure sound appeared in the Tokyo area that resulted in all the living beings in the region fall unconscious. Because it is feared that an outbreak will occur, the Japanese government decided to blockade Tokyo and move its headquarters to Osaka.

After six days have passed, all the unconscious suddenly awaken without any cause. And there are also a hidden power that appear inside them and they started attacking the blockade borders on the outskirts of Tokyo. The people who possessed the power then started attacking each other and causing conflict in the region. If you look at the summary, it seems that this anime will focus on the main character's struggle in the conflict in Tokyo. Expect a lot of fighting scenes. And it might also explain why it could happen like that. The information about this anime is still not much available, so I can only speculate from the summary.

Shichisei no Subaru

Why i'm so interested in this anime? So, this anime will tell you about a party called "Subaru" from the MMORPG game "Union" which consists of elementary schoolers and childhood friends. The party became a legend in Union game because of its members who can play so well. But there was an incident in the Union game that making one member of the party dies, leaving Union game closed it's service, and finally the other members split up and went on with their lives.

After 6 years passed, the Union game reopened with new name called "Reunion". Haruto, one of the former Subaru party then tries to log in to the game and suddenly meet with one of Subaru's members as well as his childhood friend Asahi who died 6 years ago. The thing is, why his dead friend could be there again. Is she just an AI or avatar that made by some people? and also what caused her death that make Union game closed it's service. And why reopened again as a new game called Reunion as if the game was intended to reunite Subaru's party with one of its dead members. That many question is the reason that urge me to watch this anime. If you are also curious, wait for the airing date in early July.

Island

This may be an anime with prepare to cry edition because the VN players who have played the game says that Island will have a sad stories. So, the anime that adapted from Visual Novel will later tell a story about a small island called Urashima which is far apart from the main island in Japan. The inhabitants of the island initially lived in peace. But suddenly the three main families on the island suffered a series of misfortunes, making the island decided to cut off contact with the main island in Japan, making the island declined over the time.

Now the key to saving the island lies in three girl who are each of the three main families, but the three families are bound by the old tradition of the island and are in conflict with each other. When the problem is still persist, suddenly appear a man who was stranded on the island, and he claims that he comes from the future. HMM? How come? who exactly is he? and why and how is he arrive from the future and then stranded on the island? Let's stay tuned for the airing date in July.

Grand Blue

This is what will make you rolling on the floor laughing. the anime that adapted from the manga is comedy themed and will tell about a college freshman named Kitahara Iori who lives in his uncle's house. His uncle's house is coincidentaly a diving store. Later in this anime, Kitahara will meet new friends that are hilarious and absurd that would make you laugh. There are someone who is handsome but otaku to the core, someone that always wear cakey make up to make people think that she's cute, someone that like to deceive his friends to benefit him, and of course the two cute cousin of Kitahara.

Along this story later, we will see Kitahara and his friends doing activity as divers, as well as their daily lives during college. I want to see how the depiction of the sea and inside of it because in the manga I was amazed by the detailed and beautiful drawing of the sea, so i expect the sea in the anime to be more beautiful and colorful to see. Beware though in this anime later will be many drunk scenes, but i can assure you that the drunk people will even make you laugh more. Let's look forward to this anime when airing in early July.

Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3

Yesssssss, this is the anime that has been waited by many people, finally we will see Eren and his friends in action again in the anime that has no doubt about its huge popularity. If you look at the summary and the trailer, in season 3 the story will seems to be more focused on internal conflicts inside the city. Like the politics and the fights between humans within the walls. If we look from the trailer Levi looks like will have many scene and importance in this season 3, and also I think he has a dark history with that man with cowboy hat.

In season 3, Krista will become the core figure later in this arc story. We still don't know who she really is and why she became a legion scout. We also don't know the story from the government sides inside the wall. There are still many unsolved mysteries too, as to why there is titans and who built such a huge wall. Maybe this mystery will start to unfold in Season 3 later. For those who already can't wait to watch, season 3 will start airing later in mid-July. So please be patience a little bit more guys.

That's the couples of anime I recommend to be included in your watch list guys. I hope my expectations on the anime above really on point, or to say really worth to watch and hopefully not dissapoint the anime lovers. So, let us wait for the show guys and enjoy to the last.

Tak terasa Anime season spring sudah akan selesai, waktu berjalan cepat, tiba-tiba anime yang lagi asik ditonton udah mau selesai. Tapi jangan bersedih dulu karena kita akan berjumpa dengan Anime-anime baru di season summer. Banyak anime-anime yang ditawarkan di musim panas mendatang, dan dari anime-anime yang akan tayang tersebut aku memiliki beberapa watch list anime yang bisa kalian lihat nantinya. Anime-anime yang aku pilih adalah berdasarkan personal tasteku terhadap anime, so the choice maybe different for you guys.

Lord of Vermillion

Anime yang diadaptasi dari game Square Enix nihh. Kalo diliat dari premisnya, keliatannya sudah banyak yang memakai cerita ini. Jadi Lord of Vermillion nantinya akan bercerita tentang sebuah kejadian di Tokyo pada tahun 2030. Muncul suara bertekanan tinggi di wilayah Tokyo yang mengakibatkan semua makhluk hidup di wilayah tersebut tidak sadarkan diri. Karena dikhawatirkan terjadi wabah akhirnya pemerintah Jepang memutuskan untuk memblokade Tokyo dan memindahkan markasnya di Osaka.

Setelah 6 hari berlalu, semua yang tidak sadarkan diri tiba-tiba sadar tanpa ada penyebabnya. Dan juga muncul kekuatan di dalam diri mereka dan mulai menyerang perbatasan blokade di pinggiran wilayah Tokyo. Orang-orang yang mempunyai kekuatang kemudian mulai menyerang satu sama lain dan mengakibatkan konflik di wilayah tersebut. Jika melihat summarynya, sepertinya di anime ini bakal berfokus pada struggle tokoh utama di dalam konflik di kota Tokyo. Expect a lot of fighting scene. Dan mungkin juga akan menjelaskan mengapa bisa terjadi seperti itu. Informasi mengenai anime ini memang masih belum banyak sehingga aku hanya bisa berspekulasi dari summarynya.

Jadi, anime ini akan bercerita mengenai sebuah party bernama Subaru dari game MMORPG 'Union' yang terdiri dari anak-anak sekolah dasar. Party tersebut menjadi legenda di game Union karena anggota-anggotanya yang bisa bermain dengan bagus. Namun terjadi sebuah insiden di game Union yang mengakibatkan salah satu anggota dari party tersebut meninggal, membuat game Union ditutup, dan akhirnya para anggota-anggota yang lainnya berpisah dan melanjutkan hidupnya masing-masing.

Setelah 6 tahun berlalu, game Union dibuka lagi dengan nama baru bernama 'Reunion'. Haruto, Salah satu mantan anggota Subaru kemudian mencoba untuk log in ke gamenya dan tiba-tiba bertemu dengan salah satu anggota Subaru sekaligus teman masa kecilnya, Asahi yang meninggal 6 tahun lalu di dalam game. Yang ngebikin penasaran adalah, kenapa temannya yang sudah meninggal bisa ada lagi. Apakah dia hanya AI atau avatar yang dibikin orang? dan juga mengapa dia bisa meninggal dan membuat game Union ditutup. Dan kenapa dibuka lagi sebagai nama baru Reunion seolah-olah gamenya ditujukan untuk mempertemukan kembali party Subaru dengan salah satu anggotanya yang sudah mati. Jika kalian penasaran, tunggu tanggal mainnya pada awal Juli nanti.

Island

Ini mungkin bakalan jadi anime edisi prepare to cry karena para pemain VN yang sudah mainin gamenya bilang kalo Island bakal ada drama sedih-sedihnya. So, anime yang diadaptasi dari Visual Novel ini nantinya akan bercerita mengenai pulau kecil bernama Urashima yang terpisah jauh dari pulau utama di Jepang. Penduduk di pulau itu awalnya hidup dengan damai. Tapi tiba-tiba terjadi malapetaka pada tiga keluarga utama di pulau itu, membuat pulau itu akhirnya memutus kontak dengan pulau utama di Jepang, membuat pulau itu lama kelamaan menjadi tertinggal.

Nah ternyata kunci untuk menyelamatkan pulau itu terletak pada tiga wanita yang masing-masing merupakan tiga keluarga utama tadi, dan ketiga keluarga itu terikat tradisi lama di pulau dan saling berkonflik satu sama lain. Saat masalah tak kunjung selesai kemudian muncul seorang laki-laki yang terdampar di pulau itu, dan dia mengaku kalo datang dari masa depan. HMM? kok bisa? siapa sebenarnya dia? dan mengapa dia terdampar di pulau itu? Nantikan animenya saat tayang pada bulan Juli nanti.

Grand Blue

Ini yang bakalan bikin kamu ngakak guling-guling. Anime yang diadaptasi dari manga komedi bertema peselam ini nantinya akan bercerita mengenai seorang mahasiswa baru bernama Kitahara Iori yang tinggal di rumah pamannya. Nah kebetulan rumah pamannya adalah toko peselam. Di anime ini nantinya si Kitahara bakal ketemu temen-temen baru yang kocak dan absurd yang bakal bikin ngakak. Ada yang ganteng tapi otaku akut, ada yang suka pake make up tebel biar dikira cakep, ada yang suka ngakalin temen-temennya, dan tentunya sodara sepupunya Kitahara yang cakep-cakep.

Nah di sepanjang cerita ini nantinya, kita akan melihat Kitahara dan kawan-kawannya beraktivitas sebagai peselam, dan juga kehidupan keseharian mereka saat kuliah. Aku pengen liat bagaimana penggambaran pemandangan laut dan di dalamnya karena di Manganya aku takjub dengan gambarnya yang detail dan indah, so i expect the sea in anime to be more beautiful to see. Beware though di Anime ini nantinya bakal banyak scene mabok-maboknya, tapi i can assure you pas pada mabok malah bikin ketawa. Nantikan saja animenya ini saat tayang di awal bulan Juli.

Shingeki no Kyojin Season 3

Yesssssss, inilah yang sudah ditunggu banyak orang, akhirnya kita bakalan ngeliat si Eren dan kawan-kawan beraksi lagi di anime yang sudah gak diragukan lagi kepopulerannya. Kalo ngeliat dari summary dan trailernya, di season 3 ini kayaknya bakal lebih berfokus pada konflik internal di dalam kota gaes. Seperti politik dan pertarungan sesama manusia di dalam tembok. Kalo diliat dari trailernya sih si Levi bakalan banyak nongol di Season 3 ini, dan juga kayaknya dia punya histori kelam ama yang pake topi koboi itu.

Di season 3 ini gaes, si Krista yang akan menjadi tokoh inti di bagian arc ini nantinya. Siapa dia sebenarnya dan mengapa dia menjadi scout legion. Kita juga belum tau cerita dari sisi pemerintahan di dalam tembok seperti apa. Banyak misteri yang belum terpecahkan juga, seperti mengapa ada titan dan siapa yang membangun tembok sebesar itu. Mungkin misteri ini akan mulai terkuak di Season 3 nanti. Bagi yang udah gak sabar pengen nonton, season 3 ini akan mulai tayang nanti pada pertengahan bulan Juli. So please be patience a little bit more gaes.

Itulah anime-anime yang aku rekomendasikan ke kalian. Aku berharap ekspektasiku terhadap anime-anime diatas benar-benar on point, or to say benar-benar worth to watch dan semoga aja gak ngecewain para penikmat anime. So, let us wait for the show guys and enjoy to the last.

Many of survival games may already swarming around now, but if it survival games that will force you to repeat from the very beginning when you're dead? Don't Starve is the game. The open world survival game created by Canadian indie company Klei Entertainment can make you feel the sensation of survive on a dangerous island with unique cartoon art style, funny but also scary at the same time (lol).

Gameplay - Survive for as long as possible
This game will put you on an island that looks different every time you play, and the main focus is to survive where you have to do everything in the game to stay alive for as long as possible. You just just have to play with point and click in this game, quite simple indeed in how to play, but quite troublesome in how to survive.

There are three elements that important to you to survive, that is health, hunger, and sanity. Hunger and Sanity are the most important, because if you hungry your health will decrease, as well as with sanity that will make your character hallucinating and creating monsters shadow that out of nowhere attacking you, which of course will also reduce your health. Both of them can be solved by fulfill the needs that fit with each element. For hunger needs, you can find anything, herbs, spices, crabs or whatever you can eat, which you can eat directly or cook first and give you different effects. While sanity you can fulfill by making your character happy, either by picking flowers, shaving beard or anything that makes your character smile even though they're stranded. Be careful with the monsters that roam around you, they can attack you anytime as you get near them. Like the first time i play, out of curiosity i approach the pig house, which eventually my character beaten to death by a bunch of pigs.

Well, those spiders looks scary, better run

In this game you should also try to find a place to make a shelter because this will allow you to last longer. When I play, I try to find a place with many resources around that I can use to survive, such as rocks, trees, plants and so on. Remember you must have lighting at night because the monsters will attack you if it's pitch black. What's fun here is that you can build your shelter into a base camp. You can build a fence, a house, a fire pit, to make your own farm, making you doesn't need to look for food again. You can also make weapons to hunt and fight with the monsters around you to get meat or objects that you can use for accessories or other.

The most important factor in this game is of course its permadeath feature. You die, you back again from the beginning, because your save will be erased automatically when you die. This feature makes you feel like a real survival. Imagine, you've been played for weeks and survived very long, and somehow suddenly died because you killed by some monster. There goes your struggle for weeks to survive because you can't load the game again and the save already deleted by the game. Making you must start all over again. Feel annoyed yet? But this is what makes the feature good, because you feel threatened by the permadeath, making you play this game seriously and carefully in order to survive for as long as possible.

Story - Discover why you are stranded on this island
This game actually has a story, though not much and only as a secondary feature that able to make you more immersed while playing. When you are stranded on the island, you will meet Maxwell, the antagonist in this game who appear to you and say "welcome" to his island. When you play, you can find a landmark named Maxwell door that will take you to the story mode in this game. Story mode is divided into several chapters that you must pass in stages. When the story mode ends, you will return to the island the first time before you enter Maxwell door to return to survive mode again. Why back again? Because this game main feature is Sandbox Mode where you have to survive as long as possible and Story Mode is just as an additional feature.

Art - Cartoony but scary
If you know Tim Burton, you must be familiar with the art styles in this game, because the art style in this game is similar to the style of the filmmaker and animator Tim Burton. The graphic is in the form of a cartoon, but it's dark and spooky, but also funny at the same time. Can increase the scary feel when you play.

Music - Focus on game ambience
Perhaps what make the game feel silent is the absence of the soundtrack in this game, but if you see the gameplay, maybe it's more suitable if there is no music while playing. The sound ambience in this game will make you feel the atmosphere on the island.

Game open world survival yang digarap perusahaan indie asal Kanada, Klei Entertainment ini bisa membuatmu merasakan sensasi bertahan hidup di pulau yang berbahaya dengan art style kartun yang unik, lucu tapi serem juga (lol).

Gameplay - Bertahan hidup selama mungkin

Game ini akan menempatkanmu di sebuah pulau yang bentuknya berbeda-beda setiap kamu main, dan fokus utamanya adalah bertahan hidup dimana kamu harus melakukan segala cara yang ada di game ini untuk tetap hidup selama mungkin. Kamu hanya cukup bermain dengan point and click saja, cukup simple memang dalam cara mainnya, tapi cukup merepotkan dalam cara bertahan hidupnya.

Ada tiga elemen yang menjagamu untuk bisa bertahan hidup, yaitu health, hunger, dan sanity. Hunger dan Sanity adalah yang terpenting, karena jika kamu kelaparan healthmu akan berkurang, begitupun dengan sanity yang akan membuat karaktermu berhalusinasi dan membentuk bayangan monster yang entah darimana tiba-tiba menyerangmu, yang tentunya juga akan mengurangi health. Keduanya bisa kamu atasi dengan memenuhi kebutuhan-kebutuhan yang sesuai dengan masing-masing elemen. Untuk kebutuhan hunger kamu bisa mencari apapun, tumbuhan, rempah-rempah, kepiting or whatever you can eat, dan kemudian bisa kamu makan langsung atau kamu masak dulu yang bisa memberi efek berbeda-beda. Sedangkan sanity bisa kamu dapatkan dengan membuat senang karaktermu, entah memetik bunga, mencukur jenggot atau apapun yang membuat karaktermu bahagia meskipun terdampar. Hati-hati dengan monster-monster yang berkeliaran disekitarmu, mereka bisa menyerangmu kapan saja saat kamu mendekat. Seperti saat pertama maen, aku gak sengaja deketin kandang babi karena penasaran, akhirnya mati dikeroyok.

Di game ini kamu juga harus mencoba untuk mencari tempat untuk bisa kamu jadiin tempat perlindungan karena ini yang akan membuatmu bisa bertahan lebih lama. Saat aku maen, aku nyoba untuk mencari tempat yang disekitarnya banyak sumber daya yang bisa aku manfaatin untuk bertahan hidup, seperti batu-batuan, pohon, tumbuhan dan sebagainya. Ingatlah kamu harus punya pencahayaan di malam hari karena monster akan menyerangmu kalo gelap gulita. Apa yang menjadi menyenangkan disini adalah kamu bisa membangun tempat perlindungan menjadi seperti basecamp. Kamu bisa membangun pagar, rumah, api unggun, hingga membuat kebun sendiri, membuatmu tak perlu mencari-cari makanan lagi. Kamu juga bisa membuat senjata untuk berburu dan bertarung dengan monster-monster disekitarmu untuk mendapatkan daging ataupun benda yang bisa kamu gunakan untuk aksesoris atau lainnya.

Faktor yang paling penting di game ini tentu saja adalah fitur permadeathnya. Kamu mati, kamu balik lagi dari awal, karena save-mu akan terhapus otomatis saat kamu mati. Fitur inilah yang menjadikanmu berasa seperti bertahan hidup beneran. Bayangkan, kamu sudah maen berminggu-minggu dan bertahan hidup sangat lama, dan misalkan tiba-tiba mati gara-gara kalah berantem sama monster, hilang sudah perjuanganmu selama berminggu-minggu untuk bertahan hidup karena kamu gak bisa load game lagi dan savenya sudah terhapus sama gamenya. Otomatis harus ngulang dari awal lagi. Sebel kan? Tapi inilah yang membuat fitur ini bagus, karena bisa membuatmu merasa terancam dengan permadeath, membuatmu bermain game ini dengan serius dan hati-hati agar bisa bertahan hidup selama mungkin.

Di game ini sebenarnya memiliki cerita, meskipun tak banyak dan hanya sebagai fitur sekunder yang bisa untuk membuatmu lebih immersed dalam bermain. Saat kamu terdampar di pulau, kamu akan bertemu Maxwell, tokoh antagonis di game ini yang menyambutmu "selamat datang" di pulaunya. Saat kamu bermain, kamu bisa mencari sebuah landmark bernama Maxwell door yang akan membawamu ke story mode dalam game ini. Story mode ini terbagi dalam beberapa chapter yang harus kamu lewati secara bertahap. Saat story mode berakhir, kamu akan kembali ke pulau pertama kali sebelum kamu masuk ke Maxwell door untuk kembali bermain bertahan hidup. Kenapa malah kembali lagi? Karena game ini fitur utamanya adalah Sandbox Mode dimana kamu harus bertahan hidup selama mungkin dan Story Mode hanya sebagai fitur tambahan.

Art - Kartun tapi serem
Kalo kamu tahu Tim Burton, kamu pasti udah gak asing sama style gambar di game ini, karena art syle di game ini disamakan dengan gaya penggambaran dari filmmaker dan animator Tim Burton. Gambar berbentuk kartun, tapi bernuansa gelap dan serem, tapi kadang lucu juga. Bisa menambah feel takutnya pas kamu maenin gamenya.

Music - Fokus pada ambience permainan
Mungkin yang menjadi kurang adalah tidak adanya soundtrack dalam game ini, tapi jika melihat mode permainan gamenya, mungkin lebih cocok jika memang tak ada musik saat bermain. Sound ambience yang ada di game ini yang akan membuatmu merasakan suasana di pulau tersebut.

Replaybility - Fitur map generator yang membuat permainan terus terasa berbeda
Game ini memiliki fitur generator mapnya setiap kali kamu akan bermain. Mulai dari landscape pulau beserta isi-isinya, sampe pengaturan musim dan tingkat kesulitan bisa kamu atur sesukamu sendiri untuk memberimu kemudahan atau kesulitan kalo kamu suka tantangan. Membuat permainan terus terasa berbeda dan baru setiap kali main. Dan juga tentu saja kamu bisa menggunakan rekor bertahan hidupmu untuk menyombongkan diri ke pemain-pemain lain secara online dan terus berkompetisi siapa yang paling lama bertahan hidupnya, ini yang membuat gamenya bisa dimainkan berkali-kali.

Conclusion
Mungkin dari segi cerita memang game ini kurang komplit karena memang bukan fitur utama dalam gamenya, namun bagi kamu yang suka survival game, game ini bisa menjadi rekomendasi untukmu, terlebih dengan fitur permadeath yang menjadi fitur paling menarik dalam game ini, membuatmu "terpaksa" harus serius dalam bermain kalo gak ingin kehilangan usaha bertahan hidupmu dengan sia-sia.
